From a very early age I was exposed to many types of travel.
When I was born my older brothers were 4, 3, 2, and 1. Five boys no five year olds. after me came the two girls. Mom had 7 children in just over nine years.
We lived in neighborhoods with lots of kids and we were almost always outside playing. We found sticks shaped like pistols
From a very early age I was exposed to many types of travel.
When I was born my older brothers were 4, 3, 2, and 1. Five boys no five year olds. after me came the two girls. Mom had 7 children in just over nine years.
We lived in neighborhoods with lots of kids and we were almost always outside playing. We found sticks shaped like pistols and rifles for imaginary army games. We found sticks that were strong and straight for stick ball. Soon enough there were bats and gloves and all kinds of equipment. And with so many kids the hand me down clothes made it to me. Certainly mom knew how to darn socks over a lightbulb or iron on a patch to torn trousers.
The days on the road theme truly started at Sea. Dad got into sailing in his late 30's and it was truly a family event.
